12 countries interested in Uruguay to invest

Of 28 inquiries received from different countries about investment during the 7th month of the year, Argentina reaches the 25%, Spain the 18% (represented a half of interested investors of Europe) and Brazil represents the 7%. The other 18% represented by Europe were inquiries from Belgium, France, Portugal and Switzerland. Meanwhile, USA and Canada reaches the 18%. Also, inquiries from Asia and Middle East were smaller than other months, reaching the 11%. In this sense, despite the European and regional uncertainty the non-stop flow of inquiries was remarkable. Thus, it could have influenced the foreign investors’ interest in Uruguay.

During the course of 2011, our Legal Department has obtained numerous favorable decisions from the Trademark Office and the Supreme Court.
