Montevideo: The Best City to Live In

According to a report by the international consulting firm Mercer, for the second year in a row Montevideo was ranked best Latin American city to live in among a total of 230 cities considered for the region.

Mercer’s 2016 Quality of Living Rankings were based on several factors, including personal safety, quality of health care and hospitals, education, and recreation.

First on the global ranking of 440 cities is Vienna, while Montevideo comes in at 78th in overall quality of living worldwide, followed in Latin America by Buenos Aires and Santiago, which ranked 93rd and 94th respectively.
